Fwd: Learn programming with our Summer of Scripting

Did you know computer programming is a required course for ALL freshmen (regardless of their major) at Harvard University?  Maybe you should get a head start... here is a GREAT (free) opportunity...

Hi Coachbatista,

I'm Pamela, and I teach programming for Khan Academy. Now that we live in a world where so much of our lives go through computers—our personal interactions, our health tracking, our jobs—I think it's increasingly important for everyone to learn how computers work and how you can program them to do what you want. I love programming because it's empowering and creative, and I want you to get a taste of that too, in our Intro to JavaScript course.

I wanted to make it easier for you to get into programming, so I've created our Summer of Scripting. Sign up, and from mid-June to mid-August, I'll send you emails with your goals for the week.

Sign up for Summer of Scripting

We'll also have weekly contests for everyone in our coding community, so you'll have even more ways to practice programming and show off your growing skills to your friends.

Spend three hours a week with us this summer, and by the end of it, you'll know the fundamentals of JavaScript, one of the world's most popular languages. See you soon!

Fwd: Free, Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy

Hi Coachbatista,

For the first time ever, Khan Academy has teamed up with the creators of the SAT to create personalized SAT practice for anyone, anywhere. In March 2016, the SAT is changing, and students can prepare for it on Khan Academy—for free.

Learn about the new SAT

We give students personalized practice recommendations and instant feedback on how they're doing. If they're curious, we also have a short video about the new SAT to help them get to know how the test is changing.

Our system is designed to help students where they need it. If your students will be preparing for the new SAT, forward this email to them. Or check it out yourself and we'll automatically send you updates you can share with your students.

Sincerely,
Annie and the Khan Academy SAT team
