Baseball videos for PE students

This is a good and fun introduction to the basics of baseball. The song goes fast so you may need to watch it more than once  : )  .

Also click on the link below to watch a video on Softball. Softball and baseball are very similar and they have almost all the same rules. Watch just the first 4 minutes...

Pre-alg.class.... Adding Mixed numbers video

Alg 2. TI 83 calculator instructions.

Q: How can I clear the memory of all variables and lists?
A: Unlike a complete reset (see below) this is pretty safe to do, though be careful not to delete any lists or variables that you need to save. To clear all memory in a TI 83 or TI 83 Plus:
  1. Press 2nd MEM (that is the second function of the + key)
  2. Select 2
  3. Select 1 (All)
  4. Scroll through the list and delete anything that isn't important.

2012 Soccer at BIS

2012 Soccer Team Program
Brasília International School

Soccer  Program.
Brasília International School is looking for Jr. and Sr. High School students that are interested in playing soccer for our school team. This is not a club. This will be a team sport activity that will take place during school hours. There will be no extra cost for this program. The team will represent our school as we play soccer against other schools and clubs in Brasília.

Futsal Program will include:
-          Practices on soccer fundamentals/ skills.
-          Practices on soccer tactics and strategies.
-          Team scrimmages.
-          Home and away games against other teams in Brasília.
-          Fitness conditioning.
Schedule
-          Our soccer season will start on Monday, February 13th of 2012. The season will last seven weeks.
-          The team will practice daily, Monday – Friday, during the last period of the day, from 2:35pm to 3:15pm. (Jr. High students will continue to attend North Star class on Mondays and Wednesdays).
-          The team will also practice after school, Tuesday and Thursday day, from 3:15pm to 4:00pm. This portion of practice is not mandatory, but students are encouraged to stay until 4:00pm as much as possible. The students that stay until 4:00pm must be picked up promptly at 4:00pm (because all teachers leave at 4:00pm also).
-          Games will typically be played on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Some games will be played at BIS and some games will be played at other facilities in Brasília. Notices will be sent home with a game schedule, addresses and directions for games that are not at BIS.

Expectations
-          Students that join the team are expected to remain in the team until the end of the season. A player may not quit or withdraw from the team during the season – unless there is an extraneous circumstance.
-          Players are expected to come to every practice prepared.
-          Players are expected to participate in all aspects of practice (fundamentals, strategies, scrimmages and conditioning).
-          Players are expected to come to every game – unless excused with prior notice. BIS understands that sometimes there may be a conflict with schedules and a student may not be available for a game on a particular day.
-          Players must maintain an average grade of “C” or higher in every class to be eligible to participate in this program.

Notes from Dating talk at BIS

This document has all the notes I used for the Dating talk at BIS. Keep in mind these are just notes, so there are lots of abbreviations and incomplete sentences. It was all written in bullet format, so it may seem like a lot of material but it is not. If this were written in normal paragraph form it would probably only take three pages. But in bullet form it took twenty some pages. An average reader could read this in 30 minutes or less. I hope this will help young people in their relationships. - Coach Batista
